DC ROWHOUSE MODERN RESTORATION
The owners of this Capitol Hill rowhouse wanted to modernize their hundred year old home, but also wanted to incorporate materials that spoke to the building’s past. A small area of the home had the original heart pine flooring, and we were able to source an additional 1,300 square feet of perfectly matching material, creating a consistent feel throughout the house. The effect? It feels like the floors have been there forever. For the upstairs bedrooms, we sourced 10-14″ wide pine plank floors, which further lend rustic charm to the modern space.
