where our wood comes from

at almanac, what sets us apart is where we get our wood. oftentimes, we get it ourselves, from demolition sites. we’re the ones carefully dismantling the barn or industrial building, we’re the ones loading the truck, and we’re the ones pulling the nails, cataloguing the material, and then milling it into a beautiful floor.

for our newly milled floors, we source from a handful of sawmills known for their consistently high-quality material. we select logs and lumber according to the grade of the floor we’re producing.

whether we’re working with reclaimed or new lumber, our hands touch every board that passes through our shop. we truly give a damn about the material we work with, which means we truly give a damn about your floor.
